The Big Picture:
In an 84-9 vote on October 31, the Senate approved a NASA budget of $22.75 billion for Fiscal Year 2020. This includes most of the $1.6 billion NASA sought for the Artemis lunar exploration project in response to President Trump's directive to land humans on the Moon by 2024.
An Extra Catch:
Back in June, the House had limited the funding to $22.315 billion. So there's still a little bit of wrangling to do. The clock almost ran out on November 21. But thanks to a continuing resolution to keep the government operating at FY2019 levels, Congress now has until December 20 to work it out.
